I love Flatstock. The dozens of unframed prints and posters I have will attest to this. It’s an awesome music poster show where not only can you pick up some great art posters, but you can have the opportunity to meet many of the artists as well. Unfortuantely, I don’t get a chance to check out Flatstock often enough – in fact, the only times I’ve perused all of the posters and art at Flatstock are on two separate occasions at Bumbershoot in Seattle. It was great news to hear that Flatstock will be making it’s debut at Primavera Sound in late May. This will definitely be a treat as artists from various European countries will also be represented – and I think in Bumbershoot it was mostly, if not all, artists from North America.

If you should happen to find yourself in Barcelona between May 15 and June 3, be sure to drop by the Virreina Centre de la Imatge to check out the poster art exhibition “Flatstock: The World of Music Posters.” If you’re attending Primavera Sound – which I cannot recommend highly enough – check out the posters and artists at Flatstock 34.
